Catharine Callaway grew up in Durham and graduated from Duke with a degree in art.
After she received her degree, Callaway moved to California and began making jewelry in 1972.
In 1984, Callaway moved home to North Carolina and opened her own jewelry store in Hillsborough. In 2013, Callaway closed her shop and began creating her jewelry at home.
Callaway continues to create her unique jewelry at home, where she also loves to play with her dogs, read, and relax on the deck admiring her garden.
